Pekos is an assumed male 27 year old Blue and Gold Macaw. he was surrendered from a home where he was dearly loved but unfortunatley they were not able to care for him properly anymore. In his foster home Pekos has transitioned to a healthy diet of pellets and fresh wholesome foods. Pekos is a freindly and entertaining bird and loves to show off his favorite tricks. He is very talkative and knows a few words including his favorite phrase "Got a peanut?"
Pekos will step up for both his foster mom and dad although a bit reluctantly. So far he isn't excessivly loud. Due to the size of a macaw Pekos will need a large cage preferably a 64x32 inch cage or larger.

Large macaws can live up to 60 years with proper care.
