My Story

Goya was lying in a gutter in San Francisco slowly starving, suffering from a necrotic badly broken leg that wouldn't allow him to move away from threats or begin to fly. A kind rescuer picked him up just before he would have been run over by a vehicle. He was absolutely skeletal at barely 100 grams, and his keel bone was so sharp it had caused a lesion to form where it pushed against his thin skin. After receiving nutrition and hydration, he perked up and became the happiest little guy ever. His entire leg needed to be amputated so he's now a cute little mono-pod with one feathery foot to hop on. Goya has now landed at a comfy foster home where he is building strength while living with a gentle group of three other young pigeons. Goya is showing himself to be polite, explorative, vocal, and cheery. He's friendly and curious with his human foster parents. Please apply to adopt http://www.pigeonrescue.org/birds/apply-to-foster-or-adopt/
