My Story

Meet Golden Boy! This young rooster recently found himself at the county shelter after being picked up as a stray. With so few safe homes for roosters out there, Rooster Haus Rescue pulled him from the shelter to give him more time to find an adopter. He's a friendly boy who was likely dumped when he got old enough to reveal himself as a rooster. He'd make a great addition to any flock. Golden Boy is looking for a home where he'll be kept as a companion and receive compassionate veterinary care. His new living space must be predator-proofed with a secure coop where he will be safe at night. He'd also make a great indoor companion! While he hasn't been tested with other roosters or hens, we think he'd do well in a flock. Golden Boy is currently being fostered in Oakville, WA. Transport can be arranged up to 250 miles from the Seattle area for the right home. Rooster Haus Rescue recommends a strict 30-day quarantine protocol before introducing new animals to any existing flock. Golden Boy will complete his 30-day quarantine on April 20, 2024.
