Hello everyone, my name is Fuzzy, and I am a Catalina Macaw. I am about 31 years old and still full of life! I have been with my foster parents for a little over 2 years now. I have opened up and blossomed so much since being with them! Even though they do have 2 other birds in the household, I would rather be the only pet in my forever home. I love to interact with my foster parents all the time. I am also a very curious fella.
I do like to be out of my cage the majority of the day to do what I want to do and have free range of the house. My favorite toys consist of ropes, flip flops, toilet brushes, brooms, and cardboard. I also like wood and plush toys. A few of my favorite sayings are “Hello”, How are you?”, “Are you a good bird?”, and of course “No”. I also say a few other things like “Step up”, “Whatcha doin’?”, “Okay”, “Yeah”, Fuzzy”, and “Happy” (even though it is hard to understand).
I do not like loud noises such as the vacuum, other loud or screaming birds/parrots, loud music, etc.
My favorite foods consist of nuts, Nutri berries, chop, bread, cheese, sometimes Harrison’s Bird Pellets, Fruits, and Veggies. My foster parents mainly feed me Zupreem Fruit Blend.
In the morning or pretty much anytime I am in my cage, and I am not getting the attention I want, I will roll my head in my food bowl to get their attention. When it is bedtime, you do not need to cover my cage. You just need to turn out the lights when it is dark, and I will go to sleep. My typical bedtime is between 6-7 PM. I typically wake up around 7-7:30 AM, or pretty much when the sun comes up.
My foster parents believe I have so much more to offer, again, if I can be your only companion. I am still looking for my forever home. If you think that I would be a perfect fit in your family, please fill out the adoption form for me.
Love,
Fuzzy
