You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hatch Date: Unknown Ellie is a Cockatiel and has been DNA sexed female. Ellie is a very sweet, spunky, and curious cockatiel. She craves attention and loves to be around people all day. After just one day in her foster family, she seems comfortable around everyone. She doesn't seem to have a preference with men or women at all, she's happy to be with anyone. She is very hand-tame and will climb right onto your hand as soon as you open the cage door. Ellie will climb up onto your shoulder as soon as you take her out, and occasionally when she's flying she will land on your head, but we move her onto our shoulders or hands right away. She is fully flighted and if she's been in her cage for a long period she will take a few laps to burn some energy. She gets tired very quickly. Her previous owner, Meg said that she never really flew much. Ellie's not a very loud bird but when she wants your attention, she will let you know. She will pace around the door while chirping to get your attention. She occasionally will scream or if there are other birds around, or she'll try talking to them. Ellie hasn't ever bitten hard but she'll lightly play nip on your fingernails. She likes to play with paper and loves most jewelry. Her past owner said that she would take weekly bathes, but we have not been successful in getting her to take one just yet. Ellie's diet consists of a seed/nut mix provided all day with fresh fruits and vegetables available as well. She's shown the most interest in leafy greens with a side of millet as a treat. Ellie deserves a loving home that will provide all the love and attention she needs. Ellie is located in Huntington Valley, PA ,and will only be adopted into a forever home within driving distance.
