Meet Ed (aka Fred) the senior Umbrella Cockatoo. Ed came to us from another rescue that was forced to close due to the owners terminal illness. Most of the birds in this intake were seniors. Ed is in his late 40s and from what we can determine is wild caught. He enjoys the company of female Cockatoos, but has been known to chase the males away. Ed steps up and is an excellent flyer. He prefers to entertain himself with wood and cardboard, and is not in constant need of attention.
