Dahlia and Zane

Hi everyone! My name is Dahlia and my best buddy in the pictures next to me is Zane. We are two sweet Cockatiels that are currently being cared for in our FPR foster home, while we wait for our forever home. We are both happy birds that came from a caring family! We share a roomy cage with plenty of perches, ladders and toys! I was hatched on 11/5/20 and Zane, was hatched on 8/11/21. I like to keep a low profile in the cage, but I do get beyond excited when someone gives me any attention! I jump from perch to perch showing off by eating and drinking my food. My foster parents say I'm so silly! Zane likes to hang out on top of the cage nearly all day. She sings and bobs her head along to a good song and hops from the cage to your shoulder as she pleases. Zane is more adventurous and will venture out of the room, but I start calling for my sister almost immediately. Our foster parents bring our cage out into the living room, and we enjoy being involved in the antics of their daily life. In fact, we don’t appreciate being closed off and prefer the door open. We both don’t love hands and will squawk at them if someone tries to touch us. Zane will allow head scratches by our foster Dad and has really taken to him! Our foster parents know if they keep working with us, we will be more social. We will both jump on our foster parents when they sit by our cage. I take my time, but I will pay a quick visit. We demand fresh water and food and will make it known! We eat Roudy Bush Crumble Pellets. We tried Harrison’s Superfine, and we went on strike! Our foster parents also give us fresh veggies, that we don’t eat much of. Surprisingly we don’t make much noise at all! If we have everything we need including some of your time, the most you will hear are the cutest little whistles that will bring joy to your ears. We are really a cute combo!
