Casper

Hello, my name is Casper and I am a male umbrella cockatoo. I am about 40 years old. I was domestically hatched and raised as a pet, but purchased by a breeder many years ago. I spent most of my life in a small cage with my mate. We didn't have much human interaction, and very little enrichment, so we plucked each others feathers. My breeder decided to get out of the business, so I was surrendered to BNW. I hadn't forgotten that I was once raised by people, and from the start I was happy to hold my foster mom's finger with my foot and tell her my name. I come out of my cage daily now, I have toys to play with and I sit in the sun and look out the window. I love the variety of food, especially scrambled eggs! I can be petted all over. I have made great progress and will now step up. If you would like to be my new companion for the next step in my life, I would love to meet you. Diet: Pellets, fruits & veggies, nuts or seeds as treats. Adoption fee: $750. Check out our website which explains our adoption process. Beak n' Wings adopts with the greater Kansas City area and up to 150 miles of the surrounding area. We do not ship or trade birds. We do not adopt birds out for breeding. A contract is required at the time of adoption. Adoption fees are not refundable, except as stated in the contract.
