Amelia Toppins is an extremely lucky pigeon. He (we thought for a long time that he was a she . . . but no!) sustained a big, huge abrasion on his breast (suspected road rash) & was rescued by kind people who recognized he needed help. He is strong & in great body condition except for the wound (for which he is on antibiotics & cage rest) so wasn't out lost for long.
