Meet Petunia, aka Toonie. This sweet baby came into the rescue in April of 2020. Toonie’s previous owner lived in a town where pigs were not permitted. It’s so heartbreaking that a loving family has to give up their beloved pet due to zoning issues. In many cities pigs are not permitted as they are classified as livestock, not domesticated companion animals like dogs & cats.
If placement for Toonie’s wasn’t found she’d have to be euthanized. While we always seem to stay at capacity somehow we always manage to squeeze one more in ?. Toonie is a VERY large pot belly, she weighs 278 pounds. Don’t let her size fool you, she is an absolute sweet heart!! Toonie is ready for a forever home. She is 5 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Petunia is very very sweet and loves belly rubs!
